Sophie Thompson is the founder of Baby Bloom Development, Early Years and Parenting Expert for Blossom & Berry's Nurture University and Rep for the South West. She lives in the beautiful countryside of South Devon with her husband and three small boys; Milo, Oakley and Kitt.
Sophie has worked in early years and education for 16 years and has a passion for working with young children and families. Her time spent working as an early years practitioner has allowed her to gain valuable experience in supporting families, as well as an extensive knowledge of child development, early literacy, numeracy and phonics, amongst other skills. She has a plethora of qualifications relating to the early years sector and also has experience working with children with various additional needs including Down Syndrome, Autism and Global Developmental Delay.
As a fully trained Thrive Practitioner, Sophie has a fantastic understanding of the social, emotional and brain development of infants and how these can be nurtured through positive touch and play.
Following the birth of her third child in 2015, Sophie came across the wonderful Blossom and Berry. Feeling truly inspired, she trained with International expert Gayle Berry in baby massage, which compliments her past training and ethos beautifully. She then went on to found Baby Bloom Development with an aim to provide the perfect environment and activities to support healthy attachment and cognitive, physical, emotional and communication development whilst having fun, enjoying a special time together and supporting new mums and dads as they start their parenting journey.
Sophie has a DBS Enhanced Disclosure and Baby Bloom Development classes are fully insured by Westminster Indemnity.
Baby Bloom Development classes are relaxed, supportive and non-judgemental, allowing new mums and dads a safe space to focus on connecting with their new baby.
